Settings for Avid

Songster is configured in its Main Window. (There is no preferences window.) To switch Songster into Avid mode click the Avid button at the bottom of the window.

This is the main window in Avid mode.

Bin Columns

All available metadata items are put into appropriately named Avid bin columns. You can display and hide the bin columns as needed in the Avid.

Clip Name

The name of the clip shown in the Avid can be derived from either the Song Name or the File Name metadata entries of the audio file. While they are usualy the same, this may not always be the case.

ALE Header

For successful import into the Avid the Format and Frame Rate specified in the ALE file exported by Songster have to match the Avid project settings. Set these to match you Avid project.

Custom Colum

Songster can add an arbitraily named bin column to the exported ALE file. Enter its name here.

Custom Note

Set the text to go into the custom column here.
