XMiL SongsterALE lets you drag sound files onto the application in the finder or onto a floating window. It will then automatically generate an Avid Log Exchange file containing the metadata available in the files' ID3 tags, such as the song's composer, artist and album. The ALE file is imported into the Avid, and the sound files can be batch-imported.

The custom bin columns added by XMiL SongsterALE are "Album", "Track Number", "Artist", "Album Artist", "Comment", "Composer", "Description", "Disc Number", "Disc Count", "Genre", "bpm", "Year", "Grouping" and "Lyrics".
- It saves the time and energy used to re-type information into FCP columns that is in the computer already.
- Get exactly the same metadata information into Final Cut Pro that is available in iTunes.
- No need to cross-reference information across applications when making music usage lists.
XMiL SongsterALE needs iTunes installed on the same machine. It has been tested under Mac OS 10.4.11 and 10.5.2. It will not work under any version of OS 10.3 or earlier.
To use XMiL SongsterALE without limitations you will need a license. That license will be tied to one specific computer, and will not work on any other computer. One license will be good for all users of the computer. You can purchase the license via PayPal on the Download page.
